Monica is a wife, a mother to two young boys, and a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She has been credentialed and practicing since 2013, after earning her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Oklahoma. Monica specializes in pediatric speech and language therapy and has worked across a variety of settings, including home health care, Early Childhood Intervention (ECI), and elementary school environments.
Throughout her career, Monica has supported children with a wide range of speech and language needs. She has extensive experience working with both developmental and acquired disorders, including learning difficulties and disabilities, autism, childhood apraxia of speech, dysfluency, phonological disorders, articulation challenges, and feeding and swallowing disorders.
After seeing a growing need for highly specialized, individualized speech and language intervention in her community, Monica founded Language Lions in 2020. Her passion for helping others, combined with her enthusiasm for working with young children, forms the foundation of the core values and standards of Language Lions. She believes in taking a whole-child approach and intentionally collaborates with families and teachers to ensure therapy goals are functional, meaningful, and supportive of real-life communication.
Monica is licensed by the state of Texas and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She is deeply passionate about all things speech and language.
Monica has always loved working with children and, prior to her professional career, spent her high school and college years as a camp counselor. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and exploring all things health and wellness. She is an animal lover and hopes to open a dog rescue one day.

Jane Geracci
I am a veteran, well, seasoned SLP. I started my career when I moved here from New York State. I worked in DISD for 15 years and changed to the medical setting for some years. I returned to the public schools, allowing me flexibility to raise my children. I retired early from GPISD and started my own company. I have a history of growing my own speech pathologists! My neice, my daughter, one of my son’s earlier girlfriends, and my god-daughter are all SLPS! I am a proud Grandmother of four girls and one boy. Hopefully one of them will carry on the baton as a SLP. I am very proud of our profession and I always encourage others to pursue that career path!
